In selecting scholarship recipients, particular emphasis is given to women who:

• demonstrate strong character and a desire to have a positive impact on those around them,
• are committed to collaborating with other women through active community involvement, and
• have clear professional goals that make them strong role models for the current and next generation of working women.

Minimum requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED
• Upper Florida Keys resident for the past 3+ years (and currently a resident)  
• 3+ years of post-high school work experience
  
• Currently accepted or enrolled in an education or training program

Awards will be issued by Upper Keys BPW directly to the educational institution or reimbursed to the awardee with receipts. Funds must be disbursed within 6 months of the date awarded.

All applicants will be informed of the Committee's decision within 4 weeks of the application deadline. Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend a BPW awards event.
